Big Game Spin-Troll Rods
BlueWater® offshore saltwater big game spinning trolling rods are focused on performance. Our IGFA black E-glass blanks are specifically designed for the rigors of trolling with re-inforced tips. Pushing the limits of bluewater spin- troll applications with up to 52 lbs. of drag requires a precise fit of the rod to both you and your particular reel. A few choices, included in the price of each rod, will maximize the performance of your rod:
- choose your reel seat, which includes a Rod Ring™ (for strap attachment), matching gimbal & cover;
- all reel seats are reversed for use with the Rod Rings™
- 30, 50 and 80 Lb. Class rods have permanent Rod Rings™
- 12, 16 and 20 Lb. Class rods have removable Rod Rings™
- choose the material and length of your fore grip;
- choose the finish of your guide set;
- personalize your rod with your name, boat, fish decal, etc.; and,
- tell us the make and model of your reel so that we can adjust the guide spacing for optimal for stress distribution
Based upon experience our spin-troll rods use Pac-Bay extra-heavy duty silicon carbide stripper guides and All American Neptune® Acid Roller Guides for the running guides and top. Build details, including our 14 coat finish process, and the reasoning behind the choices BlueWater makes are detailed in The BlueWater Way.
